Anchor was founded in the summer of 2023 in Vancouver, B.C., by a collective of first-generation migrant artists who shared a vision of fostering a vibrant and inclusive musical ecosystem. Drawing from our diverse cultural backgrounds and artistic experiences, we sought to create a platform that not only amplifies unique voices but also challenges the boundaries of mainstream music.

Recognizing Vancouver as a flourishing production hub, we set out to harness the city's rich resources, infrastructure, and networks. From state-of-the-art studios to a wealth of creative talent, Vancouver provides fertile ground for innovation and collaboration. Anchor leverages these assets to empower non-mainstream musicians, offering them opportunities to record, produce, and share their work in an environment that celebrates their individuality and artistry.
